Creative Watchmaking

A workshop human scale
Artisans de Genève embodies the fusion between individuals and watchmaking. This is a House where ideas are reimagined collaborative way, according to our clients’ aspirations.

An art dedicated to others
Since its inception, our workshop has worked meticulously to offer our passionate clientele the most personalised horology experience.

Guardians of memories
Creativity has been at the heart of our workshop. Our work almost always consists of bringing together the memories of each individual and transcribing them into the language of watchmaking.

From pencil to reality
Afrika adventure began on paper, with sketches and a multitude of ideas inspired by our customer, which we refined together over time.
Named After Its Land Of Inspiration
A symbol of adventure and untamed freedom. A bold call to the unknown. Earthy and sandy tones shape the watch’s sandblasted movement and brown Super-LumiNova® indices. The matt green dial, ceramic bezel, and hours and minutes hands capture the wild energy of nature’s shades.
The unknown, or the invisible, is unveiled through skeletonization. An invitation to discover both the watch and new horizons. The bezel is engraved with the names of 24 cities and their time zones.

Sourcing Of Materials And Colors
Every material and hue is carefully selected to embody both elegance and durability, resulting in a timeless and truly personalized timepiece.

Green ceramic worldtime bezel
The bidirectional “world time” bezel insert is crafted from a block of green ceramic.

Earthy tones of Africa
The colours chosen by our client reflect a place that moved them: the Okonjati Wildlife Sanctuary.

Natural tones
Hands are coated with green PVD to match the natural tones of the watch.

Sapphire crystal
The case features a sapphire crystal and is water-resistant up to 100m.

Our client wanted to capture the strength and sense of freedom he feels during his adventures into the unknown.
Focus On Modifications

Skeleton movement
The skeleton movement opens into the unknown, blending strength and delicacy. Through sandblasting, palladium treatment, a cut-out and chamfering, it reveals the intricate mechanics of the Rolex® 116710 movement.

Into the core
The open worked dial sheds light on the skeletonized movement. Transparency is accentuated by the sapphire date disk and the waterproof caseback. The oscillating rotor is made of yellow-gold, reflecting the earthy tones of Africa.

Crafted for the world
The bidirectional “world time” bezel insert is crafted from a block of green ceramic, then mirror polished. It indicates local time across 24 engraved time zones.
