Artisans de Genève is an independent watchmaking workshop offering handcrafted timepiece customization and restoration services. We are neither associated nor affiliated with the brands of the timepieces we work on.

We carry out our work at the sole request of our customers, on their own timepieces and for their private use only. The work presented was commissioned by one of our customers. This presentation reflects our know-how and has no contractual value.

Our workshop operates at limited capacity. We respond to the best of our abilities.

Inspired by the timeless elegance of runabout boats, polished mahogany wood and chrome details, Brown Ice reflects the reflections, depth and contrasts of nature, while embodying the power of the elements through meticulous craftsmanship.

Sourcing Of Materials And Colors

Every material and hue is carefully selected to embody both elegance and durability, resulting in a timeless and truly personalized timepiece.

Warm brown tone

The warm brown tone evokes the brilliance and timeless elegance of runabout boats.

Icy tones

The customization reflects the depth of lakes, from deep blues and icy tones.

Material blend

Through an interplay of materials, the depths of the watch emerges, as clear and layered as water.

Sapphire crystal

The case features a sapphire crystal and is water-resistant up to 300m.

Our client wanted his customization to reflect the depth of lakes, from deep blues and icy tones, to warm wood reflections that bring Riva® boats to life.

Focus On Modifications

Skeleton movement

The skeletonized movement is sandblasted and palladium-treated, delicately crafted to embody a balance between strength and fragility. Each element is hand-cut, bevelled and polished, to reveal the intricate inner workings of the watch.

Into the core

The ice-blue skeletonized dial with blued hour-markers, sapphire date disk and a translucent sapphire case revealing a blued oscillating rotor, create a striking interplay of light and layers.

Brown ceramic bezel insert

The bezel insert, crafted from Swiss ceramic, is laser-engraved and polished to a rich, warm brown tone, evoking the brilliance and timeless elegance of runabout boats.

Other Modifications

Hands

The hands feature a blue PVD treatment to perfectly match the tones of the watch.

Dial

The dial is skeletonized and bevelled, featuring an ice-blue PVD treatment. The hour-markers are hand-blued.

Rotor

The rotor is coated with a blue PVD treatment, encircled by hand and polished.
