Creative Watchmaking

A workshop human scale
Artisans de Genève embodies the fusion between individuals and watchmaking. This is a House where ideas are reimagined collaborative way, according to our clients’ aspirations.

An art dedicated to others
Since its inception, our workshop has worked meticulously to offer our passionate clientele the most personalised horology experience.

Guardians of memories
Creativity has been at the heart of our workshop. Our work almost always consists of bringing together the memories of each individual and transcribing them into the language of watchmaking.

From pencil to reality
Cyano adventure began on paper, with sketches and a multitude of ideas inspired by our customer, which we refined together over time.
The Culmination Of A Moment In Time
“I’ve been passionate about watchmaking since I was very young. I’ve been collecting vintage and modern watches for fifteen years now. My father is my role model. He was the one who passed on to me this passion for beautiful objects, but also for the know-how of the men and women behind these timepieces. It was when I set up my own watchmaking house that I became aware of the reality and difficulties of this unique profession.” - Mr. Cyrus Z.
Our client’s first request was to open his timepiece to reveal the movement. We immersed ourselves in several traditional techniques to cut and skeletonise his 4302 caliber entirely by hand. A dozen or so sketches were necessary beforehand, in order to measure and study each of the movement’s curves and parts.

Sourcing Of Materials And Colors
Every material and hue is carefully selected to embody both elegance and durability, resulting in a timeless and truly personalized timepiece.

26-Ply forged carbon
Forged carbon quickly stood out as the element that could mark and assert the strength of the piece.

Flame-blued
Each hand has been fully polished and flame-blued following traditional techniques.

“Ice blue"
The Ice blue color, blue PVD-treated hour-markers and subtle touches of red contrast with the sandblasted movement.

Movement's curves
The movement is skeletonized, beveled, rounded, and polished by hand.

We applied highly graphic lines to the movement, creating a multitude of inner angles on each of the calibre’s parts.
Focus On Modifications

Opening on the movement
It is revealed, entirely hand-beveled and decorated with 17 inner bevels, 8 rounded-off angles and a multitude of details almost imperceptible at first glance.

A renewed aesthetic
The bezel has been completely personalized in two parts made of different materials to guarantee water-resistance and full functionality. The first is in 26-ply forged carbon and the second in grade 5 titanium.

Technicity and elegance
The dial has been entirely skeletonized to reveal the movement, then encircled and angled to highlight the brilliance and nuances

We all carry a personal story within us. I see my experience with Artisans De Genève as a real introspection on my last 37 years – and the next ones to come. In every detail of my watch, there is a piece of my father, my daughter and myself.
