Artisans de Genève is an independent watchmaking workshop offering handcrafted timepiece customization and restoration services. We are neither associated nor affiliated with the brands of the timepieces we work on.

We carry out our work at the sole request of our customers, on their own timepieces and for their private use only. The work presented was commissioned by one of our customers. This presentation reflects our know-how and has no contractual value.

Our workshop operates at limited capacity. We respond to the best of our abilities.

Eternal Green: A Color To Outlast Time

"I’ve been collecting watches for over 30 years and wear them only rarely. I enjoy preserving them in their original state and choose to wear them at the right moment, often on special occasions. Their history then becomes tied to an experience, an emotion, a moment in my life. Horology is a passion, a love that neither fades nor passes.

By personalizing one of my watches, I decided not to let it tell an experienced story, but to create its own story, visibly reflecting my desires, choices, who I am and what inspires me. Like a story engraved in Eternal Green."

Sourcing Of Materials And Colors

Every material and hue is carefully selected to embody both elegance and durability, resulting in a timeless and truly personalized timepiece.

Art & light

Each section of the movement was then bevelled and polished by hand, before receiving a PVD treatment in Eternal Green.

Symbol of nature

Our client has chosen Eternal Green on his wrist, as a symbol of life’s enduring and infinite nature.

From a brass block

Made from a block of brass, it was then bevelled and entirely hand-circled to match the case’s finishings.

Green Rubber strap

Made from genuine rubber, the strap was moulded from a titanium insert to ensure a perfect fit from the case to the deployant clasp.

Our client, Mr. V.B., has chosen this green, a color to outlast time.

Focus On Modifications

Hand skeletonization

The Patek Philippe® 324 movement has been entirely reworked. First sketched on paper to define the lines and curves, it was then cut with a wire to reveal the movement’s gears and bridges.

Artisanal dial

The dial was developed and crafted in our own workshops. A first layer of white gold was applied before the final Eternal Green PVD treatment. Finally, SLN points were hand-applied to ensure night-time readability.

Dedicated strap

The strap was specially developed in Switzerland with our partner Rubber B to perfectly match our client’s desires.

Other Modifications

Balance bridge

Signature of the House. The balance bridge was crafted from a block of steel before being entirely hand mirror-polished for an unmatched reflective effect.

Hands

The hour, minute and seconds hands are finished in yellow gold treatment. The top part is hand-satin finished, and the facets are diamond-polished to enhance brightness.

Rotor

The gold rotor is openworked and decorated by hand. Each line was bevelled and circled by hand to bring contrast and depth to the skeletonized movement.

In a word, it’s my way of fully owning my watch. Personalizing my watch with Artisans de Genève has been a memorable personal adventure. For the first time, I am the designer of one of my favorite watches. The emotion felt is like déjà vu, while also experiencing it for the first time. It is a feeling I had when I had a 1974 Porsche 911® restored and found it again a year later both the same yet so different. I loved seeing my watch take shape, detail by detail; participating in its creation, step by step.
