Artisans de Genève is an independent watchmaking workshop offering handcrafted timepiece customization and restoration services. We are neither associated nor affiliated with the brands of the timepieces we work on.

We carry out our work at the sole request of our customers, on their own timepieces and for their private use only. The work presented was commissioned by one of our customers. This presentation reflects our know-how and has no contractual value.

Our workshop operates at limited capacity. We respond to the best of our abilities.

Sourcing Of Materials And Colors

Every material and hue is carefully selected to embody both elegance and durability, resulting in a timeless and truly personalized timepiece.

Blue sapphire

The bezel is crafted in white gold and set with 32 blue sapphires.

21 Carat gold

The rotor is a skeletonized 21carat gold piece, beveled and satin-polished by hand.

“Ice blue"

The “Ice Blue” dial features a quartz blue finish.

Palladium treatment

We hand-sanded the movement plate by hand before applying a palladium treatment to give it maximum brilliance and shine.

Our client’s initial request was to open up his timepiece to reveal the movement.

Focus On Modifications

Open work: The art of the skeleton

We delved into several traditional techniques in order to completely hand-cut and skeletonise the calibre 330.

Technicality and elegance

The dial has been completely reimagined and crafted from a block of blue quartz to reveal the entirely hand-skeletonised movement. Each applique has been crafted by hand from a block of grey-gold before receiving the luminescent material.

Hand crafted

The bezel has been completely modified to accommodate 32 blue sapphires. Each stone has been meticulously bevelled and cut to adapt to the delicacy of the bezel and perfectly match the hue of the dial.

Balance bridge

Fashioned from a block of hardened steel, it has been bevelled and shaped by hand to give it a perfectly rounded and shiny appearance. This rigorous technique requires hours of work in the shop. The mirror polish is also entirely done by hand.

Rotor

In order to provide maximum visibility of the movement, the mass has been entirely cut and bevelled by hand before being encircled to match the rest of the movement.

Hands

The hands are mirror-polished for a refined, luminous finish.

My passion for nature and watchmaking will guide me until the end of my life. My experience with Artisans De Genève is above all, human. Sitting around a table, discussing and exchanging ideas about personal watchmaking is simply unique. I like to say when I talk about my passion, that the sky is the greatest architect.
