Creative Watchmaking

A workshop human scale
Artisans de Genève embodies the fusion between individuals and watchmaking. This is a House where ideas are reimagined collaborative way, according to our clients’ aspirations.

An art dedicated to others
Since its inception, our workshop has worked meticulously to offer our passionate clientele the most personalised horology experience.

Guardians of memories
Creativity has been at the heart of our workshop. Our work almost always consists of bringing together the memories of each individual and transcribing them into the language of watchmaking.

From pencil to reality
Warm Burgundy adventure began on paper, with sketches and a multitude of ideas inspired by our customer, which we refined together over time.
Transforming The Ordinary Into The Extraordinary
Artisans de Genève responds to a client’s request by embarking on a bold new project: working with a material that is virtually unyielding under any pressure, tantalum. This element is known for its robustness and density, making it nearly impossible to shape and requiring precise expertise.
According to Greek mythology, King Tantalus suffered the torment of standing in a bath of water he could never drink. True to its name, tantalum can absorb large quantities of acids without undergoing any change of state. A symbol of rigor, the application and machining of this material in a timepiece presents an almost insurmountable challenge.

Sourcing Of Materials And Colors
Every material and hue is carefully selected to embody both elegance and durability, resulting in a timeless and truly personalized timepiece.

Smoke burgundy gradient
More than 52 versions were necessary to achieve the perfect combination of shades, from the lightest to the warmest.

Tantalum material
The rotor features a tantalum PVD treatment, sandblasting, and hand engraving.

Super-LumiNova
A Super-Luminova treatment has been applied to the hands.

Anthracite color
A tantalum-coloured anthracite treatment to perfectly match from the case back to the bezel.

Bringing together precision and subtlety in this customization was the ultimate aspiration of our client.
Focus On Modifications

Unique dial
The dial has been completely redesigned to offer a perfect smoked burgundy gradient. The sub-dials are sky blue lacquered and varnished. Each applique is diamond-polished, then satin-finished by hand before being finished in white gold treatment.

Half open work
With the watch back visible, the client wanted to harmonize the movement and the case back so that the two components blend together. Each bridge is decorated, bevelled and circled by hand.

Tantalum rotor
The tungsten rotor was further developed before receiving a Tantalum PVD treatment. Sandblasting. Geneva stripes and laser engraving are then applied to give it all the necessary brilliance.
Other Modifications

Balance bridge

Refined hands

Super-Luminova
I particularly love the idea that they all have their own story to tell. I have always had immense respect for watchmaking houses, especially the still-independent brands that continue to perpetuate a craftsmanship and tradition that is felt less and less in today’s watches.
Inside The Customization
Each customer brings with them their story, their passions and their desires. Our workshop is transformed into a real meeting place, dedicated to the realization of all their desires.
