We are neither affiliated to nor authorized by the manufacturers of the client’s watches, that we accept to customize. They do not approve modifications or personalizations made to their products by unauthorized third parties

Prelude
We would have never imagined the challenge that awaited us when Rubens Barrichello came to us with this extraordinary project: revisiting his Rolex® Daytona® by giving it the mechanical style of racing cars. With him, we have made a series of extremely technical modifications inspired by the automotive world. Revisiting the emblematic 4130 movement from that perspective was a major challenge. Each detail, each element, is a tribute to this exceptional pilot and his love for racing. Then, upon Rubens Barrichello’s request, we made a second personalization, of his rose gold timepiece.
This personalization has been requested by a private customer. It is a sample of our know-how and of the personalization services made upon request of our customers. I have always had a thing for the Daytona®, and I wanted to make it my own way. Thanks to Artisans de Genève, my timepiece is now unparalleled, it bears details that make it unique as an F1 car, like my car. A unique movement, particular shapes, exceptional curves, and an extraordinary mechanism. I love it! Artisans de Genève has managed to achieve a technical prowess, each detail is perfectly executed with the same concern for extreme perfection that we find in the racing world.

The Bezel
The ceramic bezel is developed in our workshops in Switzerland. The inscription “tachymeter” is painted by hand in white then in red in order to give it a sporty look.
The Dial
The asymmetrical, beveled, and hand-skeletonized dial is a reminder of the automotive world. Aiming at simplicity, Rubens Barrichello wanted a matte dial, with an intense black that would reveal each detail of the skeleton. Each hand was specifically designed for Rubens, the hour’s hands and minutes are sandblasted in the center and polished on the outside.
The Rotor
We wanted to develop a different rotor, based on the shape of Rubens Barrichello’s car trims. Made from a piece of 21ct gold, the rotor is fully machined, open-worked and beveled by hand and is treated with a Black DLC coating.
Each part of the movement has entirely been reworked by our craftsmen, disassembled one by one with extreme precision, then skeletonized and beveled by hand. Crafts and innovative work that highlights each know-how. Nothing has been forgotten, each screw, each bridge, each deck, each wheel is finished by hand in order to enhance this unique caliber.

Rubens Barrichello wanted a second personalization in rose gold. He wanted to keep the same design as the steel and add a delicate touch embodied by the enchanting material and color: the rose gold. The rose gold movement subtly contrasts with the sporty look of the dial. The finesse of each detail highlights the unique work of art.

We had to team up with a real expert to create a rubber strap that would meet Rubens Barrichello’s expectations. The requirements were simple: it had to be resistant, flexible, and timeless. Rubber B was the ideal partner. Each strap is entirely handmade in Rubber B swiss workshop, crafted from genuine rubber, the black and amber perfectly match with Rubens’s favorite colors.
