We are neither affiliated to nor authorized by the manufacturers of the client’s watches, that we accept to customize. They do not approve modifications or personalizations made to their products by unauthorized third parties

Genesis
Poetry of Lights is an adventure in watchmaking and jewellery. Son and grandson of a Gemmologist, our client wanted a personalization that brought together his two passions: traditional watchmaking and jewellery.
Together, we were able to involve Craftsmen and Artists in this unique project, all eager to bring life to this unique personal timepiece out of this extraordinary journey.

Since its creation, L’Atelier has always worked to offer passionate clients more personal watchmaking. This is a return to the origins of the profession, where watchmakers devoted themselves to the individual desires of each client, according to their codes, their taste and their own background. In doing so, we’ve gone back to the roots of a calling where man, handicraft and tools were the definitive masters behind a client’s desires.

As a watchmaking enthusiast, our client wanted to give his watch jewelry-inspired details while preserving a timeless aesthetic.

Setting
It took us two years to gather and bring together 36 stones of the same hue to create this perfect harmony. The bezel has a green bright, made possible by precious Australian sapphires. Each stone has been skillfully set by hand using traditional Invisible Setting techniques.

Technicality
& transparency
The skeleton chronograph movement is a blend of technical sophistication and transparency, created by a range of crafts.
Each piece is cut, beveled, sandblasted and polished by hand, all enhanced by an anthracite finish. The hardened, polished and balance bridge completes the aesthetics of our client’s caliber.

Other
modifications
The crown
The rose gold crown has been hand-machined to create a groove 0.30 millimetres deep. A green lacquer was then applied and polished before firing it at 180 degrees, thus ensuring perfect hold.
The dial
Fashioned from a single block of natural sapphire, the transparent dial reveals the entire decorated movement. The hour-markers and counters, in solid pink gold, are diamond-polished and satin-finished with a traditional buff finish.
The rotor
We have re-imagined the openwork rotor from a solid block of rose gold. Cut by a hacksaw, then decorated and beveled, and hand-colored following our client’s wishes.

Our experience all through our client’s project brings us a never- ending source of excitement, joy and unforgettable moments. The «Poetry of Lights» adventure illustrates the perfect example of a project born from a passion and a dream come true. As together, we were able to create the witness of a moment.
